A Trained dog is a happy dog

The Introductory Class is suitable for puppies (please check with your vet that your puppy is allowed to go out) and untrained adult dogs.  You and your dog will learn basic exercises and have the opportunity to socialise with other dogs and their owners.  The Introductory Class lasts for 6 weeks, and covers basic dog behaviour and management.  Homework sheets are provided so that you can consolidate what you learn at classes.

¨ The recall (coming when called)

¨ Walking to heel

 

Puppies (up to 12 months old) will be

entered for the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Assessment.  This is a non-competitive award, based on the progress a puppy makes during its training sessions and the relationship between puppy and handler.

 

Puppies and older dogs may also wish to enter for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award.

Introductory Class

Puppies can start training at a club once vaccinated, but remember they also need lots of sleep!
